Founding board member of the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

Civil Service Commissioner for the City of Houston 1987-1991

Chairperson of the ?Art on the Avenue? November, 2003,

Person most admired:
Margaret Thatcher was a woman in command. She trumpeted Capitalism, played an important role in the collapse of the Soviet Union, stood committed to have a quick and just war in the Malvinas, and completed all of her duties with grace and dignity.

Favorite book:
The Fountainhead by Ayn Rand. Ayn Rand's story is of one who dares to stand alone, as a creative soul, and one who is passionate in defense of the individual. Against all odds, man's creative potential is clearly demonstrated

What I enjoy most about my work:
First and foremost, the opportunity to generate something new every day. In the market development and the manufacture of a new company and a new product, one has learned to design, engineer, market, fulfill, distribute, manage teams, generate Buzz, and be excellent in all of the elements of customer service. I am truly the chief bottle washer.

Greatest accomplishment:
Being a leader in bringing new technology to Latin America; introducing satellite technology and beginning the industry of voice mail for the cellular industry.

Greatest challenge:
FrogPad has received no investment funding. Yet we have moved forward in the last 5 years at a very slow yet meticulous pace. The most powerful lesson is that all can be accomplished with persistence.

Advances I envision in my field over the next 10 years:
We envision FrogPad being the next global standard for data entry in the Mobile Internet industry.

Strategies to maintain balance in my life:
Your friends and family are your most important asset. Although I work many, many, long hours, I take the time to eat, drink, and be merry with my friends.

Advice for emerging entrepreneurs:
Once you have generated a clear vision of what you want to accomplish, then you must stand by your dream and never give up. It will happen.
